My Refuge sees Margaret responding to the great number of requests for a recording that echoes with the sound of her stripped down, acoustic live show. The focused, organic sound of My Refuge gives new clarity to Margaret's smouldering, often fragile vocal as she skilfully weaves her way through tracks like the opening song of worship You're Worthy and the stand out, Feel It.
My Refuge also boasts songs with a pop feel like the excellent Clay and Water, My Refuge Be and Jesus Come In, while Poor in Paradise and No Height No Depth are piano ballads of outstanding quality. Gently unfolding songs, Say the Name and All I Ever Wanted with their sparse instrumentation and string arrangements, Margaret's delicate vocal carries you into the very presence of Jesus.
If all this wasn't enough Margaret includes two tracks featured on New Irish Hymns, Hear All Creation and Jesus Draw Me Ever Nearer (May This Journey), both songs being birthed out of collaboration with the highly talented Keith Getty (New Irish Hymns, Tapestry). Produced by Margaret herself, My Refuge is a brand new acoustic based studio recording filled with 11 of her favourite songs from the past ten years, and some that haven't been released until now, all presented with a fresh, live feel.
