This book challenges you, and the local church, in a sensitive but direct way.. It echoed a lot of what I see and think. I read it through, and read some of it and discussed it with my family, our 20yr-old and 16yr-old especially..I am now going back through the chapters and taking time to identify how I can apply it and to reflect on the suggestions at the end of each chapter. I love the way Andy Hawthorne describes the traditional service of the Anglican church..that is my background also and I find it so positive to know my frustration is not unique! And yet Andy challenges us all to identify areas within our churches and communities that we can work along with and bring God's love into it for people. I strongly recommend this book for every christian -it applies to all who care about people wherever they are.Its a great book to give an older teen or 20-something who has a longing for more depth in their christianity.
