Running After You

Writer of ‘Love Came Down’, ‘You Are’ and co-writer of ‘Happy Day’ with Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon is the worship director for Soul Survivor, a role which takes him all over the world. But it’s not the physical miles that have inspired Running After You, his debut full length album due for release this coming August, Ben’s captivated by a deeper, more personal journey: one that takes us away from ‘business as usual’ and closer to God himself.

With producer Dwayne Larring (Sonic Flood, Tim Hughes), Ben on acoustic guitars and keyboards as well as other musicians including Michael Guy Chislet (Hillsong United) on electric guitars, Running After You has the breadth and force to inspire people and take their journey a few steps further.

Review Gritty and real but inspiring all the same. 11 September 2009 Rating: Posted by: Will Sapwell It is easy, as an attendee of such conferences as Soul Survivor, to look up at the stage and think of worship leaders like Ben as having it all spiritually. It can sometimes be difficult to see these worship leaders as your average human. And yet in this album Ben gets gritty. One can really feel his struggles whilst writing this album in songs like 'Coming Back to You' and the whole album is very real; the lyrics are very easy to relate to. And so come the times of full on proclomation and praise in the songs it is hard not to find yourself joining with him in adoration for our God. There has been criticism of modern worship for concentrating too much on the production and music side of these albums, but in 'Running After You' Cantelon combines brilliant composition and production with heartfelt repentance and unhindered worship. This gritty, personal album is truly inspirational and well worth listening to.
