Story Behind The Song

“When I came to write 'See Him High' I wanted to write a more hymnal-style song to lift our hearts as we declare that Jesus lives today. We can sometimes forget the reality that He is alive and here in the midst of all our troubles now. God doesn't stand outside of our suffering and watch, He gets involved. That's the story of the cross and resurrection. And as we use this song to declare what He did in the past, there is power released for us to live in His freedom now. For me, this song releases hope because each time I sing it, or hear a congregation sing it, it's as though the atmosphere is filled with faith for what God will do in our lives with His resurrection power.” – Chris Orange

See Him high upon the cross
Displayed for all to see
My Redeemer suffered and died
His blood availed for me

Buried in the tomb He lay
All hope, it seemed to fade
But then upon that glorious day
He rose up from the grave

He lives! He lives!
